How often should timber floors be sanded?
While there is no defining answer. You can get 20 years out of good products with proper care. It is why we choose our coatings. All floors will get scratches and dents over time. Once you start seeing grey and black cracks in the coating, it’s time to re-sand.
Can all timber floors be sanded?
Most timber floors can be sanded. We obviously need some timber to sand, but 1-2mm is enough. Cracks along the edges are a sign that your boards are getting too thin and you may be on your last sand.
How much does floor sanding cost?
Short answer- it depends. We charge per square metre so the biggest influence on cost is the finish used. Polyurethane is our most economic finish. We also provide a cost-effective option in Eco-Lux.
How long does floor sanding take?
While it does depend on the size of the job, our two-man team we can get most homes done within one week.
